Microsoft's successor to the Xbox 360 will be revealed at E3 2012 and developer Crytek is making a next-generation Timesplitters 4, according to sources speaking to Videogamer.com.
A "high-ranking industry source at Crytek" told the website that while specifications for the next console have not been finalized, Crytek is using Microsoft's DirectX 11 for next-gen development. The source says Microsoft will announce the new Xbox in the next year, likely at E3 2012.
"Crytek believes that Microsoft will announce and launch its new machine ahead of rival Sony, though the developer is also investing resources into next-generation PlayStation development."
Meanwhile, the source also claims TimeSplitters 4 is currently in development using CryEngine 3 and is already being demoed internally. The game was also apparently shown off in private last week at E3 2011.
"As for the game itself, the new TimeSplitters is reported to focus on the series' branching paths and exploratory nature, with sandbox-style gameplay elements a big priority. The current goal is for levels to feature multiple routes that lead to the same overall conclusion."

minecraft piston, beta 1.7
TeamMojang release a video on there youtube channel demonstrating pistons in minecraft 1.7! Here is the video
Am I the only one that thinks this looks sick! They displayed a couple of very useful options for this in the video, but there are so many things you could do with this! Like build a slide show out of pistons and red stone dust, or a mob trap, or an elevator. That is one of the great things about minecraft, they can add the smallest addition to the game and boom! There are things you could have never even thought of doing before

Possible halo 2 remake?
So today I came across this interview with a 343 spokesman about halo combat evolved anniversary (which is its official name) they asked him about the possibility of the same treatment for Halo 2 and he quote said: "
a 343 spokesman said "That's a good question... which I will be evasive on! Right now we're really excited to be talking about Halo: Combat Evolved.
Wow! Imaging how awesome a remake of halo 2 would be! In my opinion halo 2 has the best campaign in the whole series! The only problem is that if they didn't keep the same multiplayer engine then a lot of people would hate them, but regardless of what they do with the multiplayer the campaign would still be a blast to play over Xbox live and it would be fun for all the new achievements leave your comments below if you would be willing to pay the 39.99 for a halo 2 remake!
Far cry 3
Here is far cry 3's game play trailer!
So if you ever played far cry two then you'll know that there was a lot of problems with it, such as: stupid AI glitchy repetitive game play and it got boring after awhile. Far cry two had a great concept! It just needed some extra tweaks to make it way better. From the looks of the game play trailer, they gave it those extra tweaks! Granted that the story doesn't seem very interesting it still looks like a great game. Let me point out a couple of things I noticed in the trailer 1. When he is under water and is just beginning to swim up you'll notice that the screen starts to dim like it would in real life! I am not sure if that's just when you are drowning or if that happens whenever you are about to die in the game. 2. This one is pretty obvious after he killed the first guard he got awarded points and then he looted him and got money for it. This is a great addition to the game because I feel as if that was part of the problem with far cry 2, you killed 100's of enemies but never got rewarded for doing so, and please don't be the moron that leaves a comment and says "oh they totally stole that from assassins creed two", because they didn't there ubisoft! 3. They played close attention to the detail in the weapons which is really nice! 4. They have added take downs! This is a nice really nice because not only do they look really cool, but it does seem to give a stealth aspect to the game that was never there before. 5. Automatic cover, I am mixed on this, yes it does appear to work well, but I could see this getting really annoying really fast unless there is a toggle switch for it. Over all it looks like it could go either way, it could go the same way far cry 2 did or it could go very well with everything they added to it. I don't think this game will be worth buying but definitely worth renting

E3 highlights
E3 this year was huge, there were so many things that were announced and so many things that go release dates, let’s go over some of the high lights
1 the PS Vita:
What is my opinion on the ps vita (just call it psv, psvita sounds like something I would but on a taco!) I think it looks just completely awesome! Now when it was first announced Sony claimed it would rival the ps3 graphics, I think that is a bunch of bs, not to say the graphics don’t look incredible and probably out do the Nintendo wii’s graphics there’s no way that’s ps3 quality. To say the least the psv is something that I would buy and something that would buy, the prices will be set are: WI-FI model is only 249.99 and the 3G model is only 299.99. For what you get I don’t think that’s a bad deal
This video has a lot of info in it for halo 4 and halo anniversary
Now there are a lot of people out there whining about how halo anniversary is just the same thing being sold to us twice. Let me point this out: One this campaign is going to be exactly like the original halo 1 and you can press the back button on your controller and play the whole game with the original graphics. Two there is co-op over Xbox live which is huge and nobody could do before because halo 1 was never Xbox live enabled. Three we get more than the original halo had before such as: skulls that can be toggled off a firefight map and achievements. Four you have competitive multiplayer! Now the competitive multiplayer will have the halo reach engine in it and it won’t feel like halo 1 but none the less we will have a true copy of blood gulch (Finally!) Plus you get all that for only 40.00 dollars So that would be worth it for me (let me know in the comments below if you plan on buying halo anniversary.
Now let’s talk about halo 4. 343 industries are making a whole new halo trilogy so that means we will have a 4 5 and 6 with halo! Now one thing to take into consideration is that Bungie is no longer making halo so hopefully they won’t mess it up, but one thing I noticed is Microsoft is just trying to be money leach’s in this case and that’s why halo anniversary is only going to be 40.00 dollars (but that may just be trying to buy all the halo fans over) Also in an early interview with Frank O'Connor (the person in charge of 343 industries) says that there working very close on this with bungie, and they also hired a few bungie employees. Now if you’re one of the people that keep saying: just leave halo as it is, or: oh no they’re going to ruin it or: halo is dead. There are stupid! If you like halo you are going to want more of it bottom line.
Nintendo Unveiled their new console at E3 Here is the video
Now here is my opinion on this: If you already have an Xbox 360 or PS3 I don’t get why you would switch to the WII U, now I get that the graphics card and the processer is better than the 360 and the PS3 but for the hard core gamers super Mario isn’t going to cut it! Now If they paid more attention to the hard core gamers and put out a good shooter or a good adventure/ puzzle game than we can talk, but right now I don’t think there are too many hard core gamers out there willing to play Pokémon 20 and super Mario world 11! On the upside for the wii U there is backwards compatibility with Nintendo Wii hardware which was really nice of Nintendo! That way We don’t have to spend the 150 dollars or so to get 4 controllers! Now the tablet of a controller is a great concept and looks really cool especially because the graphics on the tablet look like they’re going to be just as good as the Nintendo Wii u’s graphics, and you can also use it for more accurate wii motion games which is really cool
